What’s in the Defensive Driving Training Course?

Our Defensive Driving safety training course is regulation compliant. Each class contains sections on proper vehicle care, law and controls, weather conditions, preparedness, and more. This presentation includes intermittent practice quiz questions to prepare for the final written exam included with the course. In addition to the written exam, this course also includes a checklist for employers to use when administering a practical exam.
Though we include some basic traffic and driving laws, you will still need to familiarize yourself with all other applicable federal, state, provincial, territorial and local laws and regulations.

Why do I need defensive driving training?

With driving being such a commonplace activity, it is easy to become complacent and develop bad habits. Roughly 3,000 people die in road crashes every day—that’s about 1.25 million each year, according to the Association for Safe International Road Travel. While it’s impossible to know the exact conditions of every accident, many accidents could have been prevented had the drivers practiced safe, defensive driving techniques. This training can help remind drivers of both commercial or passenger vehicles of the basics of driving on public roads, company property, or other locations where an accident is possible.
